The KB Brace from Murphs is machined from billet stock and finished with black
anodizing. Beautifully finished, excellent craftsmanship, resulting in fit and finish that are simply the BEST! Full wide beam, tube to tube. No hype on material, just sound engineering.
It looks like this on a bike!
Twin-channeled underbelly with center support beam for lower weight
while retaining strength. Larger cap meeting surfaces than other three
piece braces. Larger diameter fasteners to keep it all in place.
From Alaska to Alabama, Austria to Australia, GTR riders the world over
run with the KB Brace from Murphs. Need a brace? Get the best, get a KB.
Fork tube protectors are included in the price. These fork tube protectors are designed to do just that; PROTECT your fork. Our protectors are cast, heat treated and powder coated to match the brace. Each protector is secured by two socket head stainless bolts, equally spaced from the center line of the fork tube.
Please note you will no longer be able to use your OEM fork protectors with this brace on 99 and up bikes. The 1999 and up through 2006 models will have to have the fork tube protectors that came on the motorcycle removed. Don’t fret, this is very easy to do and does not require removing the forks. Simply twist, pull or snatch the stock tube protector off its mount and move it to the upper section of the forks, the polished parts. Use a set of tin snips, wire cutters, or hack saw to free the protector from the fork. It's that simple!
Also, if you have a 98 or older Concours please be sure to read our fork brace update.
Always check for clearance when installing a forkbrace. Make sure all
accessories are clear, and all brake lines are run in a manner such that in a
100% bottoming out of suspension the line fittings do not contact the brace.
There is a slight difference in cost between the braces for pre-1999 models and the later versions. Be sure to select the right year from the option list.
