The CCS100 Cruise Control from Murphs
We are pleased to announce that we now offer a clone of the long selling Audiovox CCS100 cruise control. These units are produced for us by the original manufacturer of the Audiovox unit. They include all the standard parts that came with the original Audiovox units. They come with a dash mounted control switch (AV part number CCS-201), and a magnetic pickup sensor (AV part number CCS-203). Take a look at the installation manual also.
The base package does not include a vacuum canister. It can be added to the base package by selecting the correct drop down option at the bottom of the page. It can also be purchased separately here.
New for Fall of 2013!
What It Is, and What It Ain’t
This is a universal cruise control for internal combustion engines. It is capable of receiving inputs from various sources for speed monitoring and uses engine vacuum to operate a servo that is attached to the vehicle throttle control. It is an extremely simple and reliable device for the job it performs. It was never marketed nor endorsed as a motorcycle cruise control. It is not a simple plug and play installation for motorcycles. If you choose to use this product for this application, do so with the knowledge and understanding that you are accepting 100% of the responsibility for your decisions and actions.
Our offering of this product is a grassroots web-based venture. We do not offer any support for this product. We were contacted by many people asking if we could reintroduce this product. It has taken a considerable amount of our resources to get it to this point, and it is simply impossible for us to offer support on this. Check out the various forums and list servers where you have seen us mentioned and you should find all the help needed. By far the most common is the rear brake circuit. For the test and fix look here: Brake Relay Mod.
This product is warranted for period of six months from the time it is shipped against manufacturing defects. All returned units will be tested and failed units will be replaced. If your unit passes the test it will be returned to you.
Historically, the majority of returns for this item have come from buyers remorse. Think long and hard about your purchase. We have tried to make it plain this is not as easy as changing your oil. If you are not 2% smarter than the installs we link to from our entertainment section DO NOT PURCHASE the item. When we carried the Audiovox units, we found 99% of all units returned were good. Lack of ability was the only failure involved. I would much prefer to run you away from this product than have you buy it and not be happy. So, you buy this, it is yours, there are no returns on this item. (See the warranty section for returns for faulty units.)
