EBC Organic Kevlar pads deliver impressive stopping power and the "Feel" so often desired by bike riders, allowing them to
"Feather" the brake as they decelerate. Public opinion is that organic pads don't last long, but the myth was broken when EBC
launched its current DMX formulation street organic pad. Over 13 million sets have been sold with a
zero failure rate in the market. This is a truly impressive pad with low rotor abrasion, good life and deep progressive braking
power.
EBC sintered pads are made without the iron powders commonly used in many sintered pads, that often cause the pad to
"Weld" to the disc via corrosion when the bike is parked. EBC uses stainless powder instead. We took out several other particles
our competitors still use, which caused massive disc damage, and created our launch material. After five years and millions of
sets sold we upgraded the formulation again to our SB101C material, which completely eliminated BRAKE NOISE, improved the pads
HEAT CYCLING CAPABILITY and improved feel. What we have today for the faster rider is the pinnacle of sintered copper alloy
engineering, researched and tested in our own laboratories by engineers with over 50 years experience in sintered pad technology.
The choice gets down to your riding preference; do you want superb "feel" in the lever, or do you want to sacrifice a bit of that
for the absolute best stopping power? Evaluate your riding style, and decide which way is best for you to go. Whichever choice
you make, rest assured you will have the best braking power available for your ride!
The price shown is for one set of the Kevlar pads; the Sintered pads are slightly higher.
Two sets are required to do the front brakes completely!
These pads are for the 1983 and 1984 model year ZX1100, also known as the GPz during those years, model designation A1 and A2.
Also you can save a few bucks by buying all the pads required for the bike as a package. Examine the drop down options to
make your choice for Kevlar or Sintered, individual sets or packages.
